Welcome to BlockPress. This is the fast path from "just installed the app" to "an article live on my storefront."


## 1. Install from the Shopify App Store


Visit [apps.shopify.com/blockpress](https://apps.shopify.com/blockpress) and click **Add app** → select your store → approve permissions. BlockPress only requests the access it needs to manage your blog content and upload article images.


You land on the BlockPress dashboard inside your Shopify admin.


## 2. Let onboarding finish (~2 minutes)


On first install, BlockPress runs a 4-step setup pipeline that reads your store and surfaces blog topics tailored to your catalog:


1. **Crawl** — reads your existing blog (if any)
2. **Analyze** — identifies your industry, niche, and audience
3. **Research** — pulls real Google search-volume data via DataforSEO
4. **Refine** — groups results into clusters and ranks 25–40 topics by opportunity


Don't close the wizard during this run. When it finishes, the **Topic Explorer** is populated and the dashboard shows your top opportunities.


## 3. Open the editor


Click **New post** (top-right of the dashboard) or pick a topic from the Topic Explorer to start with a focus keyword and outline brief already filled in.


The editor is block-based — every paragraph, heading, image, FAQ, product card, etc. is its own block. Drag to reorder. The right-hand panel shows your **live SEO score** updating as you type.


## 4. Write, score, publish


- Type a title and the editor auto-generates a slug
- Add blocks from the **+** menu (try Product Card, FAQ, or Author Bio)
- Watch the SEO score on the right — fix red checks before publishing
- Click **Publish** → article goes live on your storefront at `/blogs/[blog]/[slug]`


That's it. Your first post is live.


## What to do next


- **Add an author** at `/app/authors` — articles with named authors rank better for E-E-A-T
- **Run the Article Health audit** at `/app/health` to fix issues across your whole catalog (Pro plan)
- **Connect your Klaviyo signup form** by dropping a Klaviyo Signup block inline (Growth plan and above)
