BlockPress has four tiers, designed so you only pay for what you actually use. All paid plans include a 7-day free trial.

## Free — try before you commit


Designed for first-time installs and very low-volume bloggers. You get the full block editor, basic SEO scoring, and can publish up to **3 articles**. AI generations are capped at 10/month with a hard stop (no overage).


What's locked: Article Health, Performance analytics, Live Preview, multi-author, templates beyond the built-ins, internal-link AI suggestions, Klaviyo signup block, version history, Topic Explorer drill-downs.


## Growth — for solo bloggers publishing regularly


The right plan if you're publishing **2–6 articles a month** and want unlimited articles plus the workflow polish (templates, version history, Klaviyo, internal-link AI). 30 AI generations is roughly one full draft per week.


If you find yourself hitting the AI cap often, Pro is the upgrade — 400 generations and a much bigger feature set for $20 more.


## Pro — most popular


The serious content tier. Includes everything in Growth, plus:


- **Article Health** — catalog-wide SEO/UX audit with prioritized fixes
- **Performance dashboard** — pageviews, scroll depth, clicks per article
- **Live Preview** — see how each article will render on your storefront, side-by-side with the editor
- **Topic Explorer with drill-down** — see the keyword clusters, search volumes, and difficulty scores for the topics our onboarding surfaced
- **3 author pages** — for small editorial teams
- **400 AI generations/mo**


This is the tier most growing Shopify stores end up on.


## Max — for agencies and large catalogs


Everything in Pro, plus:


- **Unlimited author pages** — for editorial teams beyond 3 writers
- **API access** — programmatic article create + update from your CMS or internal tools
- **White-label option** — strip the "Made with BlockPress" footer credit, or replace it with your own custom credit
- **2,000 AI generations/mo** — enough for daily publishing across multiple writers


If you manage multiple Shopify stores for clients, or your team publishes 50+ articles a month, this is the tier.


## Overage and quotas


All paid plans roll into overage at **$0.05 per AI generation** beyond the included quota, capped at **$50/month** by default. See [How AI generation usage and overage work](/article/ai-usage-and-overage) for details.


## How to subscribe


From your BlockPress dashboard → click the plan badge in the header → opens `/app/billing` → click **Choose [tier]** on any plan card. Shopify handles the actual subscription via your existing billing — you'll see BlockPress as a line item on your monthly Shopify invoice.


## Free trial


All paid plans include a **7-day trial**. Shopify will ask you to confirm a payment method, but you won't be charged until the trial ends. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
